Snapchat is all the rage these days. Facebook's recent attempt to clone the popular photo-texting service with its new "Poke" app only helped generate more interest in Snapchat. Facebook Poke? Not so much.
Snapchat has been getting a lot of flack for its "sexting" appeal, but let's be serious. There's a lot more to it than just teens sending tons of NSFW photos. Instagram proved how crazy we are for mobile/social/photos all rolled into one. Snapchat could be the next big thing. Maybe.
Business Insider argued in an article why Google should acquire Snapchat. I have to say, I don't disagree with it. And hey, with Facebook already owning Instagram and after its failed attempt at creating a good Snapchat clone, it might make a lot of sense for Google to grab the whole Snapchat team while it can. It could be good for Android, and like BI points out -- good for Google Glass as well.
Or is Snapchat just another fad, destined to fade out over the next few months? I hardly think so, but I'll be keeping an eye out on this trend to see where it goes.

I dont think snap chat has really entered the main streem on the big screen smart and iphones etc. Be interesting to see if it takes over what we all use nowadays.
