Instagram Announces New Badge Icons That Link to Your Web Profile

Instagram officially rolled out the new web profiles just a couple of weeks ago, and now you can use one of the new Instagram "badges" to promote your new profile by embedding it on your blog or website. If you're interested, the badges are pretty easy to set up.

Simply head on over to the badges page at Instagram.com/accounts/badges and make sure that you're signed in to your account. There are four Instagram icon badges that come in different sizes plus a fifth one that says "View on Instagram." Select the one you want, copy the code displayed in the box from the second step, and paste it wherever you want the badge to show up. Instagram has also provided some icon samples for those that want to tweak or design their own badges.

Considering how popular this little photo app has become, be prepared to start seeing these badges start popping up on your favorite websites and blogs. I have a feeling it'll be pretty trendy.
