Spotify lovers have a new feature to look forward to, expected to be rolled out to all users sometime next year. According to The Verge, the popular music streaming service said it was starting to roll out a beta version of its new browser-based music player for a very small select number of users.
This will certainly be a great option for users that aren't too keen on downloading and using desktop applications. And it puts Spotify in a good position up against the competition. Rdio has had a browser-based option for quite a while now and it's been one of Spotify's most requested features by its users, so it's about time this feature become available--especially if Spotify wants to keep its current users from shifting toward a competing music streaming service.
