Most of use make New Year's Resolutions that include promises to get in shape, exercise more, lose weight and eat better. As new gym memberships spike at the beginning of January, it's unfortunate that so many people tend to break or completely abandon their fitness commitments by the end of the month.

GymPact, a brand new fitness app that just launched last week actually pays cash incentives to you for getting your butt in the gym a few times a week. It doesn't pay much, but it can really add up over time. And when you miss your workouts, you can actually lose money, which may be a big motivator to get you to the gym.

The app uses location-based tracking for your workouts, requiring you to check-in to the gym and stay there for at least 30 minutes. If you'd like to learn more about the GymPact app along with five more incredible health & fitness apps, check out my latest article here:

GymPact is still a brand new app, so you may or may not to wait a while for some of the user reviews on iTunes or other tech blogs to come in before trying it out for yourself.

If you think that something like cash incentives and the risk of losing money could definitely be something to help motivate you to get to the gym, GymPact is definitely worth checking out.
