Wikis can provide great information, but there are also so many wikis out there that it can sometimes be difficult finding one that focuses on the type of information you need. Wiki.com solves this problem by providing a customized google search that will only search through wikis. This lets you search all wikis without all the clutter.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 5 minutes
Here's How:
  1. Go to www.wiki.com.
  2. Choose whether to search all wikis, wikipedia only, indie wikis only, or encyclopedias only.
  3. Click the "wiki search" button to retrieve your results.
Tips:
  1. If your search brings back too many related results, try narrowing the search by choosing indie or encyclopedia wikis only.
  2. Choose "indie wikis only" when you are searching for very specific information on a limited subject, like searching for tips on playing Halo 3 or a guide to master documents in Microsoft Word.
  3. Choose "encyclopedia only" when looking for more information about a person, place or thing and wikipedia is coming up empty.
