When you come to an intersection, Google Maps will present you with a decision by giving you arrows for each direction you might take.

If you do decide to turn, remember that Google Maps will move you in that direction, but it won't turn you to face in that direction. So, you'll have to use the right navigation menu or the left and right arrow keys to face the correct direction.
