Given the power of the social networking movement, it is a bit of a surprise that there aren't more movie and music social networks. While a recent trend has been for individual musicians to start their own social network in order to better organize their fanbase, there aren't as many larger social networks aimed directly at the movie and music industries.
Filmcrave
A movie social network, Filmcrave lets you connect with other people who share your interest in movies, check out the latest trailers, browse and even write your own movie reviews.
Flixster
A social network for movie lovers, Flixster is the perfect spot on the web for film buffs. Featuring a never-ending trivia game as well as various mini-trivia games, you can post cool videos on your profile, and find out all about your favorite movies.
Flotones
An interesting website for connecting with different music and finding cool ringtones for your mobile phone, Flotones lets you sample music, browse band pages and make your own fan page.
iLike
A music social network, iLike lets you build your own profile and share playlists with other users, learn about new music and find out about recent concerts. The coolest thing about iLike is the music player that streams music through YouTube and lets you see the most shared songs on the network.
iJigg
Have you ever wondered what Twitter would be like if it used music instead of messages? That's what you get when you go to iJigg, which allows you to discover up and coming musicians that have been jigged by other users, or post your own music and build a fanbase.
Last.fm
A combination radio-social network, Last.fm allows you to track what you listen to on your PC and find other members with similar tastes. It's a great place for music nets and a neat way to find new music.
