Introducing the T-Mobile G1:

The T-Mobile G1, nicknamed the Google Phone, is set to be released in the U.S. on 10/22/08. The first phone to use Google's Android operating system, the T-Mobile G1 is considered the first real competition to Apple's iPhone. The T-Mobile G1 features compare well with the iPhone, including GPS, a Camera and a built-in application store.

T-Mobile G1 Features

  • Touch Screen. The touch screen provides instant access to information.
  • QWERTY keyboard. The slide-out keyboard has a familiar layout for easy messaging.
  • Real web browsing. The web browser is based on WebKit, similar to Google Chrome.
  • 3MP Camera. This high-quality camera also has auto focus.
  • GPS. Combine Google Maps with the 3G Network to find where you are and where you want to go.
  • 3G Network. In addition to Wi-Fi access, the T-Mobile G1 offers fast Internet speeds with the 3G network.
  • Google applications. The G1 comes with quick access to Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and more.
  • App Market. The Android Market allows you to browse, purchase and download applications built for the Android operating system.
