After adding an event to your Timeline, your friends will be notified about it because your event will show up on the “Recent Activity” story found at the top of your profile.
If you don’t want your friends to be notified that you edited your Timeline, you can hover your mouse over your event in the Recent Activity module and hit the “X.”
You can also look at the “Activity Log” on a separate page, which is found on the right side beneath your large display photo. All of your activity is listed there in detail. You can hide or delete any activity from your Activity Log.
