What is "WYSIWYG"?

Definition: WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get. It is primarily used to explain graphical user interfaces that operate by allowing the user to edit a document as it would look to the end user.
Pronunciation: wiz-ee-wig
Examples:
Microsoft Word uses a WYSIWYG editor. When you use different fonts, embed pictures, or link to external documents, you see the document as the end user will see it.
