Got some time to kill today? Check out wikiGIFs.org -- a simple site that pulls a random animated GIF from Wikipedia and displays them one by one on the front page every time you hit refresh.

I've already wasted a grand total of three minutes on it, and so far, this is my favorite GIF that I've come across. It's things like this that make me understand how the animated GIF helped shape the weird online culture we know and love today, and proving why the Oxford Dictionary chose it as the word of the year for 2012.
