Netflix Scores a Sweet Content Deal with Disney

By December 4, 2012

Netflix addicts can look forward to seeing a bigger selection of movies to watch on demand. That's right, folks -- Disney is coming to Netflix and, it will be exclusively available to U.S. subscribers.

The content deal between the two companies was announced earlier today, with plans of bringing all kinds of movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, Marvel and Disneynature to the popular video streaming service. Exciting, right?

Although it marks a huge step toward the future of Internet video and a shift in the entertainment industry, you'll still have to wait about three years for it to kick in. The deal doesn't go into effect until 2016, so we've got some waiting around to do.

Until then, you probably have enough time to watch almost everything that's currently on Netflix, at least once or twice.
