Reddit's community never ceases to amaze me. It's not uncommon for stories to be first reported there before they're actually picked up by mainstream news outlets -- but even when they do, the people of Reddit are often able to tell the story better.
Last month, Reddit hit 47 million visitors. It's grown from a tiny little network into a massive worldwide community and is now one of the most popular social platforms on the web.
It's Friday, so if you've got some time to kill, go ahead and check out this great YouTube video where Reddit founders Alexis Ohanian and Steve Huffman explain how the social news site came to be. It's 11 minutes long, but well worth watching. And hey, we could all use a break after a long week!
