Thursday is Thanksgiving in the U.S., and I'm sure that everyone is excited to get together with the family and stuff their faces with food. But how many of you will be checking email or Facebook secretly from your smartphone underneath the table at Thanksgiving dinner?
I know that not everyone will take this advice, but unplugging from the web for a day won't kill you--especially when it's Thanksgiving. I hear it's a pretty big deal in the U.S., and your family and friends will probably appreciate the fact that your eyes won't be glued to the screen of a smartphone, laptop or tablet for the holidays.
After all, you'll have plenty of time to do scour the web for holiday deals the day after Thanksgiving when all the crazy sales launch for Black Friday. And whether you decide to go offline or not, I still all of my American friends and readers a very happy Thanksgiving!
