You can't deny that it's gotten pretty noisy out there in social media land. The big networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are often used as chaotic information blasting tools for reaching the masses.

Over the past few months or so, I've read some pretty interesting articles and personal opinions on how social networking might evolve in 2012. Some predict that content marketing will be more important than ever. Those who choose to tweet and share every single piece of mediocre content as often as possible will be left behind in a noisy sea of virtual dust.
Founder and former editor of TechCrunch, Michael Arrington wrote an interesting article on his new blog (Uncrunched.com) describing how crowded Facebook has become. We are encouraged to share everything there and we have hundreds and hundreds of friends. As a result, we don't like to go there much anymore.
These days, we're seeing more services pop up that want us to share only the most meaningful content. The iOS mobile app known as Stamped is one of those breakout services, growing steadily in popularity. To read more about it, check out my latest article review:
Social sharing shouldn't be all about pumping out anything and everything to the masses. It should be about sharing the stuff that actually matters.
