Are you ready for 24/7 Facebook? It might be coming sooner than you think. Facebook is preparing to roll out some new features, one of which will integrate sites with Facebook without you needing to do anything.

The Facebook bar will reside at the bottom of the website and will provide functionality such as a universal 'like' button similar to what you see on StumbleUpon and Meebo. While details are scarce, you'll no doubt gain functionality beyond just sharing links across the Internet. Expect features like chatting with friends to be integrated within the bar as well.

But is this a good thing?

TechCrunch notes how Facebook is once again making changes to their privacy policy. Facebook wants to share your information with third-party sites without the need for you opting into their services, so the sites can automatically sign you on and access information such as your friends list. In a time when we need to start becoming more aware of just how much information we are sharing across the web, this might not be such a good thing.
