The first thing I did when I upgraded my iPod Touch to an iPhone was to plug it into my car stereo and fire up "Beatles Radio" via the Pandora app, relishing in my newfound ability to listen to Pandora while driving around the city. I'd long ago come to the conclusion that Dallas radio just didn't cut it, so the ability to listen to something outside of my own collection in the car was a nice change of pace.
And apparently, I'm not alone in listening to Pandora in the car.
Gigaom reports that Pandora chief technology officer Tom Conrad mentioned the company's strategy would expand from smartphone apps to dashboard and steering-wheel interfaces to make it easier to listen to Pandora in the car. And with their existing deal with Ford, we might be seeing "Pandora Radio" as an option we can purchase with our new Ford Mustang.
