How Much Twitter Influence Do You Have?
Have you ever wondered just how much influence you have on Twitter? Well, now you can start measuring it with twInfluence. This neat mashup using the Twitter API measures Twitter influence by calculating your reach, which is the number of people who follow you added to the number of people who follow your followers, and velocity, which is how many second-order followers you gain per day.
For example, I am proudly ranked as the 3,704th most influential Twitter user due in large part to my 139,417 second-order followers. As you can see, I have a ways to go before I catch Robert Scoble, who sits at #13 with well over four million second-order followers. And, while we all know how Scoble loves to bring down Twitter all by himself, he's actually got a ways to go before he catches the Queen of Spain in the talkative category.
Who is the most influential Twitter user? Barak Obama. With over a hundred thousand followers and a reach of almost nine million, this is just another example of Obama's web savvy.
