Facebook Live Search

Wednesday October 8, 2008

The $240 million Microsoft invested in Facebook last year is starting to pay off for Live Search. Facebook's blog has announced that Facebook users will be able to choose from searching for information on Facebook or the World Wide Web, with web search powered by Microsoft Live Search.

Facebook implements Microsoft Live Search into the popular social network

Implementing search features into the social network is a no-brainer for Facebook. With the goal being to keep users coming back for more, web search combined with the Facebook platform extends Facebook beyond the ordinary social network.

But I don't think Google is quaking in their boots over the move.
