For many, the Internet has replaced the newspaper. And I don't mean that in a "the web is where I get my news" sort of way. The physical act of sitting down for breakfast with a newspaper has been replaced by a coffee, a monitor, and a quick surf through the "regulars" -- those sites we visit every day (and usually several times a day).
But with so many great websites out there, it can take more and more time just to surf through your regular sites. That's where Popurls comes in. It eliminates the need of visiting Digg, Slashdot, NYTimes, Clipmarks and YouTube by presenting you one page with everything current and popular on all these sites.
It can be a real time saver for those of us that want to start our day with a little bit of everything, which is why I've included Popurls in my list of best mashups on the web.

popurls is just awesome, it’s been my homepage for more than a year now.
How is this different from netvibes.com and google.com/ig ? From User Interface point, netvibes.com is much better.
