When Bad Meets Bad

From Daniel Nations, About.com GuideMay 15, 2008

Follow me on:

Comcast doesn't have the best reputation among Internet users. The second-largest Internet provider in the United States, Comcast has become a premium example of the importance of net neutrality because of their policies on throttling the bandwidth of data-intensive processes such as streaming video.

Meanwhile Plaxo, creators of the "smart address book," doesn't have an exactly stellar reputation either. The gripe on Plaxo is that they have often spammed the addresses in their system with requests to update the contact information.

So what happens when two companies with bad reputations join forces? We'll see in the near future after reports that Comcast is buying Plaxo.

In the meantime, you can cast your vote on what you think over at ReadWriteWeb where Josh Catone has set up a poll on Plaxo.
